Soooo... As it turns out, tumblr is a much more visually pleasing blogging site and as a result all four of the world travellers have jumped ship. Unfortunately that means this blog will no longer be updated, but you can check out much more up to date info/pics/videos/etc. on our other sites:

Harrys - http://harrisonkrupnik.tumblr.com/
Kevins - http://khorgan.tumblr.com/
Britneys - http://bfleischmann.tumblr.com/
Christinas - http://cdamiani.tumblr.com/

These four sites are the brand new blog sites! check em out, and enjoy being up to date with the trip!

*Things to note: We are no longer really following the itinerary, we all went bungee jumping, and most of my (harrys) photos will be posted on flickr and not on tumblr.

Thanks for reading.

So the last time I posted I was in Cork planning on heading to the Cliffs of Moor. Due to sleeping in, that didn’t happen. Instead, we went to this port town called Cobh (pronounced cove I believe). It was a nice little town, there wasn’t too much to do. Apparently the titanic and/or the Lusitania loaded/launched passengers from there. This seemed to be the town’s claim to fame as it was fairly heavily emphasized.

There was also the really small museum that we found (used to be a church). It had the most random collection of things, not entirely related to anything really. The collection included an old newspaper description of baseball in the 1880s (?),a lot of ships in bottles, a puffer fish someone from Cobh caught in the Indian Ocean as well as info on some other fish from there. Then had a section on linens and lace made in Cobh, plus an old piano and some African wood carvings, and finished everything off with a history of milk production in the 1950s…

The next day we left for Dublin. Since we had to leave around 6am the next morning to catch a flight we really only had time to take the Guiness factory tour and walk around the city for a bit before we crashed for the night. The tour was okay. I guess the making of beer isn’t too interesting to me. The best part was the gravity bar that was on the 7th floor of the building (one of the highest points in Dublin) and had incredible views. The highlight for me was finding Harry’s Café on Dawson Street!

We made our way into Glasgow and met up with Kevin’s friend Dave. He gave us an awesome tour of Glasgow University (where he’s finishing up the semester). Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera on me at the time, but the main campus building was incredible! See for yourself: http://www.gla.ac.uk/about/photogallery/mainbuilding/ After the campus tour we saw the Necropolis, which was actually pretty interesting/morbid? Most of the graves were from the 1800s. We then continued around the city. We saw some beautiful bridges, and some people doing parkour on them. Afterwards we grabbed lunch in this enormous park that also had a carnival that was hard to find bc the park was so big. The carnival looked pretty shoddy so we only went on 1 ride. Afterwards we grabbed a pint at a local pub and stayed in Sam’s dorm (Dave’s awesome and accommodating friend).

The next day we went for a several hour hike to the top of mount (hill) Conich. The 350M summit was well worth the trek, just check out some of the pictures. Later that night we grabbed another pint at this really cool bar that used to be a church. Later on that night a friend’s res building had a way onto the roof, so we sat up there and overlooked the city for a while. The pictures didn’t turn out to well though…

The next day we visited Edinburgh. We took a quick bus tour around the city and then climbed this 200ft monument that had increasingly smaller staircases all the way up. Afterwards we toured Glagow a more and now are in London, England.

Two lessons I have learned so far:

1. Always wear sunscreen when it’s sunny.

2. It’s not what you do, but who you’re doing it with.
